Kiroro Grand Japan

We're a family of four with 2 kids, a 12yo and 10yo. Went to Club Med Kiroro Grand in Dec 2025 and we had a blast! We're first time skiers, so lessons were necessary.

The first day was a little hectic, where we had to get the ski equipment fitted before putting them into the locker. Thereafter we had to book for our lessons. The 12yo gets to attend lessons with us, while the 10yo attends lessons as part of mini club.

We generally have two 2-hour lessons per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. But you're free to skip if you're tired. We start off as the Beginner level. and along the way we get promoted to the subsequent levels if we've met the relevant proficiency. Ski instructors were great. Very patient and encouraging.

Food wise, the main buffet restaurant serves excellent food. They tend to change up the menu here and there everyday except for breakfast. There's a hotpot restaurant which is reservation only, but the food is included in the fare. You only need to pay if you want to top up for other variety.

As we attended lessons on most days, we're usually tired/aching at the end of the day. Best way to end the day is to head to the onsen. They have a cold pool, 2 indoor hot springs, a sauna, and an outdoor onsen.

There are coin laundries on the 4th and 8th floor as well to wash clothes. There's a machine for you to change coins, as well as a machine to buy detergent and softeners. Just note that sometimes the machine may run out of detergent, and the boutique sells for a higher price. Best to bring some on your own just in case.

Excellent family ski resort with great powder soft snow for skiing and snowboarding. Almost all-inclusive package for the price you pay.

Mostly hits, but 2 misses that I encountered:

(1) Bedding was somewhat uncomfortable. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed in a Family Superior Room. One of my kids ended up in a foldable bed with poor back support and padding. The other kid somewhat slept better in the convertible sofa bed.

(2) We pre-paid for 2 days of skiing equipment. However, my wife and I hurt ourselves (slipped and fell on icy pavement) prior to our Club Med stay. My young daughter came down with flu and fever. We returned our skiing equipment on Day 1 and requested for possible partial refund for the unused 1 day portion on 13 Dec given our circumstances. We have yet to hear from Club Med at the time of this feedback despite 2 reminder emails.

Our experience at Club Med Kiroro Grand would have been almost impeccable if not for these 2 matters.

We are from Malaysia and have twin boys aged 10 . This is our third ClubMed ski holiday in Japan. Twice in Sahoro and now here in Kiroro. We are really enjoying Kiroro. All the GO are super friendly and helpful especially Edmund in F&B and Arda who took us for snow trekking.
Our boys love the skiing and have progressed to Trident Bronze .
The food is definitely the best ClubMed that we have experienced… really good !
Over all we strongly recommend Kiroro 👍❤️
