Cherating Beach Malaysia

So nice the team was very considerate they were fun the club was fun the food was perfection many varieties highly recommended the lunch Japanese food the shows were amazing the team was again so welcoming and the facilities were also amazing best vacation spot

i had a very pleasant stay at this hotel . so many stuff to do and the staff are very friendly and always at your service. shout out to iris who despite her busy schedule, tried absolute best to address our issue. would dfinitely come back to enjoy the rest of facilities that we had no time to explore

Spent 3 nights in the resort back in November 2024 to celebrate my boy’s birthday. Having stayed in other resorts, we had certain expectations of our holiday in Cherating.

Our flight arrived in Kuantan around 11 a.m. and we headed straight to the resort. The security check was thorough and it made us feel safe.

As we arrived before the designated check-in time, Jun (GO who served us) told us that we needed to pay RM252 to have lunch at the restaurant. The price was after 30 percent discount.

I tried to reason that we will leave in the morning on our departure day and ask if we could “bring forward” the lunch. Not allowed. One of the China resort which we visited in December 2023 allowed us the option to do that. Hope that the management will look into this and be more flexible.

There is a restaurant, Rembulan, which serves 3 course meal. It is a refreshing change from the usual buffet. Do note that you need to make advance reservation to be able to dine there.

The service, hospitality and free flow drinks are top notch. Rooms are a bit dated but it didn’t bother us as we do not spend much time in the room. Bring lots of insect repellent.

A special shout out to the circus team, Zol, Zikri and Guan, for making our trapeze experience so fun. Their performances at night was awesome. Also to lifeguard, Mad, who kept us entertained at the bar. Such a funny and cheerful guy.

Give this resort a try if you’ve been wanting to experience an all inclusive holiday. Even though you are confined in the compound, they make sure that there are enough activities to keep everyone occupied.

I have stayed at this resort twice now and loved it both times. The staff are excellent and truely make the stay, if I could fit all of their name in here to publically thank them then I would. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are nothing fancy but honestly, who cares when you are out enjoying all the facilities the resort has to offer. If you have stayed at Club Med before, when comparing this one to others, while it is physically much bigger, the guest numbers are lower therefore the meal options are less but still lovely. The family vibe that they have there is so inviting, an by this, I mean that even if travelling as solo guest or couple, you feel welcome and at home.
I look forward to staying again.

Was planning something for the new year countdown, and wanted something different this year.
decided on giving club med cherating a try.
i actually grew up 10mins away from club med cherating (at the small town of kemaman), and must have passed club med cherating over a thousand times.
never did i expect to be able to stay at the resort.

Upon arriving at the front lobby, we were greeted by the a group of friendly staff who helped us with our bags and guided us to the parking area.
We were then brief by their reception staff on the safety regulations of the resort,and subsequently brought to our room.
No doubt the room was a little old, but we find it very clean and cozy.
The welcome letters on the bed made of leaves and also the small note with flowers were a nice personal touch we appreciate.

Dinner was not what i expected. I wished i had wore more formal clothes, as it was really grand.
We were greeted by the GM and most of the staff at the entrance in suit and tie.
The dinner was really grand ,and the food was excellent.
I can't imagine the amount of effort the management, the chef and all the servers must have put in to execute such a wonderful new year dinner.

After dinner, we attended the Kpop performance, which were performed by the club med staff.
Mr Clayton and the rest of the team put in a fantastic performance. We truly appreciate the time and effort put in to put on such a fun and memorable show for us.

Last but not least, i would like to specially thank Mr Ramez for helping me book a room and giving me the opportunity to stay in club med.

I am already looking forward to my next stay at club med. I can wholeheartly say that Club med is definitely the best resort/hotel in Kuantan/Terengganu!
