Kani MALDIVES

We have just returned home after spending a magical week at Club Med Kani Maldives, and our entire experience was truly outstanding.

We would like to begin by thanking the Club Med reservations office in Istanbul. Mr. Burak and Mrs. Liz are incredibly kind and attentive — it is always a pleasure to book our holidays with them.

We chose this trip to celebrate my husband’s 52nd birthday, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made. Kani Island is compact and thoughtfully designed, making it very easy and pleasant to walk around. Although our room was located on the quieter side of the island, our strolls to the main beach and to the restaurant were always delightful.

Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day, and for my husband’s birthday, the bed was beautifully decorated with flowers and leaves — such a thoughtful touch that made the celebration even more special.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Ragap, the Village Manager, for building such a warm and dedicated team. It was truly a pleasure to meet him and his exceptional staff. We are grateful to every member of the Club Med Kani team who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had a very nice stay at Club Med Kani, with several strong positives worth highlighting.

First of all, the Mini Club team is absolutely fantastic. The children are extremely well taken care of, in a warm, professional and reassuring way. A special mention to Elena, the Mini Club manager, who is truly wonderful attentive, caring and clearly passionate about what she does. As parents, it makes a huge difference to feel that your children are happy and in such good hands.

The restaurant team also deserves great praise. The staff are extremely professional, attentive and always try to find solutions, even during busy times. The restaurant is very well managed by Mahen and Ashish, whose leadership is clearly reflected in the quality of service and organisation.
The resort itself is beautiful and pleasant, with a lovely setting. However, a few additions could make the experience even better. For example, an additional beach bar would really enhance the atmosphere, and it would be great if the main restaurant did not close at 4:00 pm. There is currently a gap with no real food options, except for crêpes on the beach, where queues can be quite long. This can feel inconvenient, especially for families.
Finally, the reception/front desk experience really needs improvement. While the shop could benefit from a better product selection (although the service itself is fine), the main issue is the front desk staff. Unfortunately, they often come across as unfriendly, not very welcoming, and quite abrupt. It makes guests feel uncomfortable when asking for assistance, which is disappointing for a resort of this standard.
Overall, Club Med Kani has many great strengths especially the Mini Club and restaurant teams but improving the reception experience and a few on-site amenities would significantly elevate the overall stay.

We stayed at Club Med Kani for 13 days as a couple, together with friends, and we had an absolutely incredible week.

We are regular Club Med guests, and without any doubt, this resort is now in our top three experiences ever.

The food was outstanding — every meal was delicious. Congratulations to the kitchen teams! The service throughout the resort was also excellent.

The island itself is beautifully maintained and incredibly clean. The resort also treats regularly for mosquitoes, and we were pleasantly surprised not to get bitten a single time during our entire stay — we didn’t even need to use mosquito repellent.

We are very sporty people, and we loved being active every day: running, swimming, sailing catamaran, playing volleyball and paddle. We also really enjoyed the Pilates and bootcamp classes.

Our room was great, with very comfortable bedding and the choice between air conditioning or a fan. A special thank you to Ismael, who took wonderful care of our room every day.

One small recommendation for future guests: we suggest bringing water shoes, as some coral debris around the island can be sharp and may cut your feet.

We can’t wait to come back.

This year it was just my wife and I.
While the location is wonderful for families we were able to enjoy quality time together, taking part in padel lessons with Achram, great Pilates classes with Neo, sailing and also snorkeling with the always smiling Celine infact the whole snorkeling team deserve a shout out for their energy and atmosphere they create.

I personally enjoyed relaxing in the recently introduced hammocks on the quiet side of the island, my wife loved the atmosphere of the main bar with amazing sunset views and live cool music and DJ's.

The GM of the village, Ragab, has created a chilled vibe, I loved walking barefoot around the island all holiday in perfect comfort.

Some amazing G.O's that really made our holiday special where Kim and Ashley at the bar, some of the most skilled mixologists we've ever experienced and great at connecting with us at meals too.
Enes, Ameel and Nadeeka were always smiling and friendly in the restaurant ensuring our coffee was always delivered on our table with a view.

Auzam took great care to ensure our holiday was perfect from our first foot on the island to arriving at our final destination in Malé.
Xoli who we were delighted to see again, made an effort to say goodbye to us on our departure. Thank you 🫶🏼

Thank you Club Med Kani for an incredible 8 days.

I returned to Kani for the 3rd time this year. I took my mother who is in her 70s. We had a perfect holiday. We were busy and active and enjoyed making the most of the facilities and excursions. We stayed in a beachfront room and didn't miss being in one of the stilted villas. The Island is stunning, the village is very well run and the Maldavians are gems. The restaurant was a treat we enjoyed to the max. Thank you to Enes, Mojibor and Shifuzaan. The excursions team are superlative. Thank you to Thomas, Nooman, Perrine, Nils and the team - Occo, Sami, Ilsan, Amaty. Circus is why I chose Kani. Sheryl and her team of Daniel, Henry & Nana were ace. Thanks to all of these and others who made our holiday so memorable.
