Renowned French tennis tournament comes to Asia

For the first ever Asian edition, the Les Petits As Tennis competition for 11 to 14 year old rising athletes will be held at Club Med Bali. This highly anticipated competition known for having sparked the careers of top tennis players such as Rafael Nadal in 2000 and Richard Gasquet in 1999, will give Asian talents the opportunity to compete and stand a chance to win a wild card (allowing a direct access) to join the exclusive European tournament of Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste (usually based on European rankings only) in Tarbes, France next January.

Ambassador of Les Petits As Asia Playoffs

24-year-old Ukrainian-born professional tennis player, Elina Svitolina, currently ranked number 5 in the world-wide singles ranking together with the future tennis champions of Asia. Coming from a family of athletes, Elina picked up tennis at age 5.

She began her tennis career in 2008, and eventually turned professional in 2010. She has won 12 WTA Singles titles, with her most significant coming at Premier 5-level tournaments, where she won three out of five events in 2017 - Dubai Tennis Championships, the Canadian Open and Italian Open.

In February 2017, after winning the title in Dubai, Elina made history by becoming the first Ukrainian woman to break into the top 10 rankings. In doubles, Elina has won two titles, both at the Istanbul Cup in 2014 and 2015.
