One of the top things to do in Bali is to join a yoga class and this is something you can bring your kids to as well. The primarily Hindu culture and religion in Bali dates back to the 1st Century and has tremendous influence on the Balinese way of life. Furthermore, Bali has a calming and relaxed vibe that is perfect for yoga practices and many studios cater to kids as well. Teach your kids mindful breathing which is useful to help calm them down and is an important life skill too!
They say the best way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, and what better way is there to connect with your kids than through a fun cooking lesson for all! Balinese dishes are complex in flavour but can be quite simple to prepare once you get the hang of it. This is a great opportunity for your kids to learn how to cook, and who knows perhaps they will be less picky with food once they know the heart and soul that goes into making these dishes!
Water sports in Bali is a must do for all who visit, whether it’s a leisurely snorkel, an exploratory dive into the underwater world, or an invigorating day of surfing. Surfing is an incredibly fun sport to learn and is the perfect activity for kids with boundless energy! The beaches in Bali are great places to learn how to surf, with many surfing schools that cater to kids as well.
If your kids are still too young for surfing, there are many water sports activities that you can accompany them to, with sailing, kayaking and snorkeling being some.
At Club Med Bali, we offer a variety of water sports excursions that are kid-friendly as well, such as snorkeling, paddling and kayaking. Our location at Nusa Dua is perfect as we are also close to the best snorkeling point in Bali. Your kids will definitely be amazed by the vibrant seaworld that awaits them!
Waterbom Bali is the second largest water park in the world, which makes it an incredibly fun and must do in Bali for kids! It is also the perfect place to be in the sweltering Bali heat, and is sure to be a day to remember for everyone in the family. With over 22 rides ranging from thrilling slides to relaxing swim bars to surf pools, Waterbom Bali caters to all age levels and interests.

Rice paddy fields are in abundance in Bali, with some of them being famous tourist spots as they are also very picturesque. The Tegalalang Rice Terraces, for example, is a great place to bring your kids too as they can walk along the different levels and learn more about how rice is made.
Visiting a temple in Bali is a must do for everyone, and what better way to educate your kids about different cultures and religions than to visit a temple for themselves. Temples like the one in Uluwatu and Tanah Lot are great places to bring kids to as they get to see the cliffside views and watch the waves as they explore the peaceful temples and rituals.
Something that is definitely going to intrigue your kids are these cheeky monkeys in the Ubud Monkey Forest! This place will be a highlight for the entire family as there are over 600 Balinese long-tailed macaques here that will be sure to entertain you.
You can buy monkey treats but be careful as these monkeys can get very excited when they see food so be sure to watch your kids here. Despite their wild nature, this is a great place to show your kids the wonders of nature and learn more about the forest and animals that live in it. This Monkey Forest is a protected site and there will be guards around for both yours and the monkeys’ safety.
If your kids enjoy watching and learning about animals, another great place to go in Bali is the Bali Zoo. Home to over 300 animals, some of these rare animals are not caged and will interact with visitors which makes it all the more fun for kids. You can feed the elephants, have breakfast with the Orangutans and pet birds, snakes and even crocodiles! This is certainly a must do for families visiting Bali!
While Bali is a very kid-friendly place and there are many things you can do with your kids, we at Club Med Bali also provide a range of activities and childcare services for your children should you want to explore Bali by yourself. It’s the best of both worlds when you stay with us!
