First and foremost, the one thing you must do on your honeymoon in Phuket is to lounge together on the many beaches on the island. If you want a lively beach with many water activities, then the beautiful Kata Beach and Patong Beach are good options. Alternatively, if a quieter beach where you can just sit in a sunchair and speak to your other half appeals to you, then beaches like Kata Noi, Karon, and Freedom could be on your itinerary. If you are staying long enough in Phuket, you could potentially also visit all the major beaches on your trip. Be sure not to miss out on the beach massages that are reasonably-priced and offer a great view of the ocean.
Going island hopping, especially to the Phi Phi Islands, is a must when one visits Phuket, especially for the first time. Here you can also lounge on nice beaches, but at the same time, take breathtaking photos that serve as great memory joggers when you grow old together. Go snorkelling together too, so that you can take some underwater shots in the clean and well-maintained waters around the Phi Phi Islands. You also may want to rent a private boat or kayak around Phang Nga Bay, which has gorgeous views of limestone formations and caves coming out of the water.
While you’re out and about in Phuket, try to also spare some time to go to the Karon Viewpoint to catch an amazing sunset view. It’s a bit of a trek, but do note that most of the best views are halfway up and not exactly at the peak. Another great spot to catch a sunset with your spouse is at Promthep Cape, which is at the very tip of Phuket island.
