While there are many things to do in Bintan, especially the more well-known attractions like Penyengat Island and Senggarang Village, sometimes it’s nice to see the more off-the-beaten-path type of attractions on holiday too. As you tour around Bintan, it’s worth putting aside one day to visit Lagoi, which has a few interesting places to keep yourself entertained on your Bintan getaway.

Lagoi Safari Farm

Start off your morning by visiting the Lagoi Safari & Eco Farm, arguably one of the best things to do in Bintan especially with young children. Of course, adults will enjoy this attraction too, which opens as early as 8 a.m. At Lagoi Safari Farm, you can see various rescued endangered species up close such as sun bears, crocodiles, elephants, Komodo dragons, rare birds, and more. You will also be taken on an educational tour in Bintan’s (probably) only eco-farm, where you can see different types of crops being grown to complement each other, such as rice, peanuts, corn and more. You’ll be able to see an array of beautiful flowers too! This is only the tip of the iceberg as to what you can do and see here, so expect to spend at least 2-3 hours at Lagoi Safari Farm.

Crystal Lagoon Salt Water Park

After your Lagoi Safari Farm trip, spend your afternoon enjoying a variety of land and water activities at Crystal Lagoon Salt Waterpark. Your and your loved ones will enjoy splish-splashing in the pristine, filtered seawater, while also engaging in a myriad of water sports such as snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, paddling, and more. If you want to try something that will really get your adrenaline pumping, don’t forget to check out the Jetovator and cable ski activities. There are also a small number of land activities you can partake in, such as ATV rides, classic car fun rides, and more. Just be sure to bring your swimwear, sunscreen, and clothes to change into after your visit here!

Lake Lagoi

If you have time to spare in the evening before you go to the next item on this list, you can drop by for a nice stroll at Lake Lagoi. This is one of the cost-free things to do in Bintan, so you don’t have to worry about spending more precious rupiahs. This 2.5-hectare freshwater lake has a pavement circling it and typically does not have many visitors, so you can peacefully walk around or take a pedal boat out on the water for an hour or two. Spend some time at this lake until the sun sets, after which you can proceed to your next destination.

Lantern Park

The Lantern Park at Lagoi Bay is actually open all day, but we recommend that you visit at night so that you can appreciate the lanterns in all their lit-up glory. There is a small fee to tour around this Bintan attraction, but it’s worth it if you want to capture some really nice photographs of glowing lantern animals and plants. If you get famished at the end, walk on over to the nearby beach to buy some snacks from the pushcarts there before ending your Lagoi trip.
