1. Create a Routine and Stick to it
Resist the urge to hit the snooze button. Fix yourself breakfast, schedule meetings and plan when to take your breaks. Use the time saved on commuting to exercise, cook a meal or read a book.
2. Dress for the Day, and the Job
You may not have to go to work, but we all know being well dressed has a positive effect on our mood. So make the effort to shower, do your hair & makeup, and dress up.
3. Create a Comfortable Workspace
Organise your desk/table and have everything you need within handy distance. Decorate it with some plants, or your favorite picture for inspiration. Make sure your chair is comfortable and that you have enough light too.
4. Be Mindful of Your Mental Health
When you're absorbed in the moment, it's easy to get carried away when there are no colleagues to remind you that it's lunch time, or simply to take a break. Don't find yourself working for hours without a break. Set little alarms on your phone to take a walk, do some stretches, or even call someone you love.
5. Stay Sociable
After a hard day at work, never underestimate the restorative powers of chatting with your friends, sitting down for a meal with your family, or even spending time with your favorite pet. You can even meet your colleagues online for coffee breaks while you work.
